We are deeply grateful to our voters. This process was never about a single vote. It was about a community willing to ask hard questions, seek understanding, and hold us accountable to doing what is right for our students and staff. With the support of this community, success for our students becomes inevitable. That is what makes OUR community strong.

This outcome reflects the work of many, especially the Fredericksburg High School Master Planning Committee and the Bond Steering Committee, who gave their time to study, ask questions, and help shape a plan grounded in the real needs of our district. Fredericksburg ISD is proud to announce Dr. Calvin Bowers as the Lone Finalist for the Superintendent position.

Dr. Bowers currently serves as Superintendent of Kenedy ISD, where he has led continued progress in academics, financial management, school safety, and facilities. His experience includes leading a successful bond election, strengthening college, career, and military readiness outcomes, and expanding opportunities for students through dual credit and career and technical education programs.
